Well, it has been a while again. Don’t expect much either because I’m busier now than I was before!  I would like to update on what’s up in my life.

We closed down the business because the economy was killing it. It seems like it was the right move since things are getting worse in this country.  The Lord arranged for Dina and I to both get great jobs just in time. She works at a cancer center helping post-op patients cosmetically.  I got a job with Frito Lay in January, and I am enjoying it despite long hours.  Both companies have great benefits and pay pretty well. We are so blessed to not only have great jobs, but to get them at a time when EVERYONE is out looking for work.  Our kids are doing well. They are all growing up way too fast for my liking.  I love my family!!!

The Holy Spirit has really been revealing to me lately. I have started to feel a burden for the lost like I have never felt before.  I see someone and the first thought that comes to me is “are they going to hell?”  Then I get emotional about it. Especially when it involves kids.

What the heck! I remembered that I had this page and decided to come back and write a few things that are happening. First of all, I am very excited about where my spiritual walk is heading! I am actively studying some really cool scripture and also learning some things about my personal life.  I also see a crossroads at my career. I am not sure what God’s plans are, but I am praying for him to reveal them to me and I am excited!

I love my wife and kids with all my heart. I guess I need to post the pics I promised of my truck…

Man, has August been a busy month. I played golf at Pinehurst and it was awesome! What a beautiful course! It was a captain’s choice tournament, and we did pretty well. We shot a 69 on saturday at Mid Pines, and a 66 on Sunday at Pine Needles. I contributed somewhat, so it was enjoyable. I have hilarious videos and pics that I will post later.

The game Monday night was a roller coaster of emotion. Thank God Clemson pulled it out against FSU. That’s 4 out of the last 5. Our defense looked great the whole game, and the offense was pretty decent until the second half when we made a few major mistakes to let them rally. A friend gave me a field pass, and it was really cool watching the game from the sidelines. Game 2 should be a win against ULM.

I am still waiting on my lift kit. What the Heck!  They called me today and said it would be shipped on Monday or Tuesday. I am holding my breath.

I know I haven’t blogged in a while, but it’s been BUSY lately. I am too tired when I get home to do anything. Look at my grass for example!

My dad got a new truck today. He deserves it. I’m glad for him. That sucker is loaded! I am awaiting parts to do the whole lift kit transformation on my truck. I have been waiting about a month! What the Heck? I will post pics when it’s done.

I had 3 people visit church these last 2 weeks. I thank God for allowing them to hear the message! I had written one of their names on the wall.

Breaking News:  I get to play golf at Pinehurst this weekend! I am not a good golfer, but I played in a captain’s choice tourney a couple of weeks ago for the American Cancer Society, and we qualified to advance. I figure it’s a once in a lifetime thing, so I am going. Maybe our team can win a big prize or something. I will update good or bad.

God’s Roadmap

Man, what a busy week. The Lord has really blessed us lately. We don’t always know what is best for us, but he sure does. His plans unfold like a giant road-map before us. We just want to get from point A to Point B. If we make a wrong turn, God reconfigures our route just like my GPS does, only in a much larger scale. It is possible to really screw up the trip, IE Atlanta to Orlando via Dallas. Sometimes we put our foot on the pedal and head for point B, even if point B isn’t in God’s plans. I have struggled with knowing God’s plan for my life for as long as I remember, but you know what? My life is going as planned.  I only thought I knew what was best for me.  Sometimes things happen to us where we say “What the Heck?”, but in the end, we see where the road has led us.
